💙🧡 Here we go!!!! It’s a massive finals week for our men!

Firstly, our Div 3 men will make the trek to Smithton and take on the Saints in the Grand Final Wednesday night. Then Saturday, our Div 2 men will play off against City Marians in the Grand Final at Meercroft!

Please wish our men the very best of luck and if you can, come along and show them your support! Let’s go Subbies!!! 🧡💙

DIV 3 MEN ARE GRAND FINAL BOUND! 🧡💙

A huge win over West Devonport tonight sees our men book their place in the Grand Final 👏👏👏

And in breaking news for Gaz Willsendoi (our mysterious new Facebook friend who popped up just in time for finals), turns out reports of our season ending tonight were entirely incorrect! 😉😂

A sad Sunday for our women’s teams, with both our Div 3 and Div 2 women bowing out of finals and wrapping up their 2026 seasons. 🧡💙

Our Div 3 women were up first and came out firing, having all the attack in the first quarter but just couldn’t find the back of the net. The final score of 1–4 didn’t really reflect what was a much more even contest. A huge effort from the team, and especially our junior girls who stepped up and supported the side so well. 💪

Then it was Div 2’s turn, and they certainly made us sweat! After finishing 1–1 at full time against South Burnie, the game went to a penalty shootout, which unfortunately didn’t fall our way. A fantastic effort from Kate Huxtable, who stepped into goals with our regular keeper away and did an incredible job. 👏

The Div 2 women should be really proud of the hockey they played today, they gave it everything and were so focused on the job that apparently nobody remembered to take a team photo! 🤦‍♀️😂

So you’ll have to enjoy these one’s of our Div 3 ladies instead! 🧡💙

Not the ending we wanted, but plenty to be proud of from both teams and their seasons. Now to cheer on our Div 3 Men in their preliminary final Wednesday night, and our Div 2 men grand final day 💪🤞

🧡💙 That’s a wrap for our U13s! 💙🧡

Unfortunately, our U13s’ season came to an end last night with a 0-2 loss to Smithton Red.

There’s been very little between these two teams all season, with several draws along the way, and tonight our crew gave it everything with a couple of players missing and no subs on the bench.

While it wasn’t the result we wanted, simply making the finals was a fantastic achievement and something this group should be incredibly proud of. It’s been a few years since a Devonport U13 side has played finals hockey, and they earned their place there through a great season of hard work, improvement and playing for each other.

A huge thank you to all our players, families and supporters for a brilliant season. Such a wonderful group of kids with plenty to be proud of, and plenty to look forward to. 🧡💙🏑
