👕 Clothes Swimming Week starts tomorrow! 👕

Just a little reminder that 14th–20th September is Clothes Swimming Week!

While it might seem like a fun change from the usual swimming lesson, there’s actually a really important reason behind it.

Clothes Swimming gives students the chance to experience what it feels like to unexpectedly end up in the water wearing everyday clothes. It can feel very different from swimming in bathers alone and it’s a great opportunity for students to learn how clothing can affect their movement and confidence in the water.

Please, don’t forget to send your child along with some everyday clothes they can swim in! 👕

It's a little bit of fun that combines with a lot of learning and some really valuable skills that one day, could make a difference. 🧡💙

Today is R U OK? Day, a good reminder to slow down, check in and make time for the people around us.

Sometimes, a simple Are you OK? can be the conversation someone needs.

It doesn’t have to be a big conversation and you don’t need to have all the answers. Just asking, listening and letting someone know you’re there can mean so much.

Today, we’re taking a moment to check in with each other at Shayne Reese Swimming, have a bite to eat, have a chat and remind our team that we are here for one another. 💛
