This Friday 3 of our magnificent Netball sides take to the court in their respective Grand Finals hoping to cap off amazing seasons with the ultimate prize!

Win or lose - what an achievement to all our coaches, players, staff and volunteers.

Let’s fill the state netball centre with blue and white and show true Cobra support on what is sure to be a big night!

D.M.C Group Services Player of the Week - Semi Final

An outstanding and combative performance from Macauley Lonergan took out the Player of the Week in our Semi Final on Sunday.

Macca accumulated 32 touches of which 22 were contested, and 7 tackles, highlighting the tough, hardfought nature of his game. He was also a driving force for the side with 8 clearances, 10 intercept possessions and 8 score involvements.

A standout game among a standout season for our reigning Best and Fairest winner, well done Macca!

In what was a tough, closely contested game across the afternoon, Macca had plenty of teammates come along for the ride.

Zach Papamihail (32 touches and a goal), Corey Field (26 disposals, 6 inside 50s), Brendan Cassar (16 disposals, 10 intercept possessions), Nathan Ranno (6 rebound 50s and 9 marks) and David Ranno (8 tackles) with strong contributions.

That was our last Player of the Week announcement for 2026. so it goes without saying a big Thank you and shoutout to D.M.C Group Services for their support in 2026 making this possible. The ability to assess, analyse, review and provide up to date and accurate feedback to our players and coaches has been amazing in helping them take the next step in their learning and development as well as finding areas for the side to chase continuous improvement in.

We look forward to a bigger and better 2027!

Congratulations to our Div 1 Women’s and Res Men sides who now join our Prem Men’s side in a Grand Final this Friday night.

FOOTBALL RESULTS 🐍

Our 2026 football season came to a close yesterday afternoon as our Senior side went down to Wyndhamvale in their Semi-Final.

A scoreboard that truly doesn’t reflect the enormous effort from our boys and could easily have been so much closer.

We are very proud of the whole football program and the massive strides taken this season. Congratulations to all our players, coaches, staff and volunteers!

There is still so much more to come before 2026 draws to a close - Netball is in full swing with 3 teams taking up grand final places this week, and awards season is just around the corner with Presentation night not far away.

After winning through their Elimination final, our Seniors return to action this week in another cut-throat game with a Prelim spot on the line.

It just gets bigger and bigger and this is not one to be missed. So let’s fill up Yarraville Oval all over again this Sunday and create a wave of Blue and White support as the boys look to go even deeper in Season 2026.

Starting off a big weekend with some great news, another Cobra committed to 2027!

Zach Wilson is another young player who has taken a big step forward with his footy in 2026. In just his 3rd year of football he has established himself as a mainstay in our Senior side.

Often playing down back, but also able to go into the midfield and have great impact, Zach is strong bodied in the air and on the ground, willing to put himself in harms way for the team and a great user of the ball.

We are excited for what is building beyond this season and are pleased to have Zach locked in to be part of it!
