Meet Brett!

Today I’m taking him through an exercise called Semi Circle, although I like to call it bum flossing!! 😂

Despite the nickname, this is a fantastic exercise that takes the spine through a beautiful semi-circular motion while strengthening the entire posterior chain (everything along the back of the body)

With the support of the feet pressing into the footbar and the hands reaching into the shoulder rests, it allows you to safely explore spinal extension through the lower back while opening the front of the hips and building strength, control, and mobility.

Movement like this isn’t just about flexibility, it’s about creating strength through your full range of motion so your body can move with confidence in everyday life. It’s also a lovely exercise to prep the body for squats because of the deep hip flexion you can achieve!

I tried one of Jane Fonda’s iconic leg workouts today, and let’s just say… it burns!!

Was I perfectly in time with her? Absolutely not haha but I had fun!

It’s a great reminder that movement doesn’t always have to be serious. Trying new things, challenging yourself, laughing along the way, and stepping outside your comfort zone is all part of the journey

Now… who’s brave enough to give this one a try in class?
