❗️How to make a submission to the Moreton Motorsport Park Ministerial infrastructure Designation Application❗️

❓What is a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation Application❓

🔹Because the proposed Moreton Motorsport Park is considered to be ‘community supporting infrastructure’ as it is a sporting facility, the proposal is able to be considered as a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation, or MID.

🔹The MID process provides an alternative process for lodging a development application with Local Government. The process is managed by the State Government (Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning) with input from other government agencies. Ultimately, the planning minister is responsible for making MID decisions.

🔹As part of the MID process, the MMP team has undertaken comprehensive surveys, modelling and reporting in relation to potential impacts, including noise, environmental and traffic. The team has also undertaken a detailed analysis into the community and economic need for the facility and the benefits which will flow from it. This information is provided on the MID portal for review, during the public consultation process.

Awesome to see the progress at the McEwin headquarters building the New Pritchard motorsport Car , it will be good to see Braden out at the start of the 26/27 season In the new car

Quick update!

We've been busy working on the new 555Q car for Pritchard Motorsport , and it's coming along really nicely.

In the background, we've also been trying to sell the Tank so we can make the move into a Dirt Modified. Unfortunately, we've had a few tyre kickers who seem to think race cars are still worth $2,000. 🤦 The car we had our eye on has now been sold, so it looks like we might be in for what could be our last season in Stockcars.

On the bright side, we've got a new Raptor gearbox ready to go into the car, along with a sump baffle kit too, hopefully solve the oil starvation issues once and for all.

The season is set to kick off on 10 October at Maryborough, so it's time to get back into the shed and keep chipping away.

Cheers,
James

🏁 QUEENSLAND STOCK CARS PROUDLY SUPPORT MORETON MOTORSPORT PARK 🏁

The Queensland Stock Car community is proud to throw its full support behind the proposed Moreton Motorsport Park development in the Moreton Bay region near Bribie Island.

Since the closure of Archerfield Speedway, South East Queensland has been missing a dedicated speedway venue. The development of a modern motorsport facility would be a game-changer for our sport and would provide a much-needed home for competitors, officials, families, volunteers, sponsors, and fans alike.

This project has the potential to become one of the most significant motorsport developments in Queensland, creating exciting opportunities not only for the Speedway community but also for local businesses, tourism, and the wider regions of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and Queensland as a whole.

Queensland Stock Cars would be honoured to be part of the future of this facility and would welcome the opportunity to race at Moreton Motorsport Park when the gates eventually open. A venue of this calibre would help secure the future of grassroots speedway racing for generations to come and provide a place where new competitors can enter the sport and existing racers can continue doing what they love.

We encourage all Speedway supporters, competitors, clubs, and motorsport enthusiasts to get behind this exciting project and show their support.

Together, we can help bring Speedway back to South East Queensland and create a world-class venue that our sport can proudly call home.

🏁 Queensland Stock Cars stand united in support of Moreton Motorsport Park. 🏁

Amended results What a fantastic weekend of racing at the Queensland Stockcar Titles.

Following the event, the committee reviewed the final results after an issue was identified with the MyLaps scoring system not registering a DNF correctly during the night. As discussed and agreed upon at the drivers briefing, the official results were to be determined using the MyLaps system. Once the discrepancy was brought to our attention, videos and scoring were immediately reviewed alongside track officials to ensure the correct outcome was reached.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation throughout the process. A big thank you to Fabz for being understanding regarding the review, and congratulations to Jarred Koch on officially securing 3rd place for the 2026 Queensland Stockcar season.

Official Queensland Stockcar Title Results:
🥇 Queensland #1 – Jacob Smith
🥈 Queensland #2 – Michael Lawnton
🥉 Queensland #3 – Jared Koch

A massive thank you to Maryborough Speedway for presenting a fantastic race track all weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of such a huge Sprintcar meeting and racing in front of a massive crowd alongside all the other classes. The atmosphere around the venue was outstanding, and it was great for the Queensland Stockcars to be part of such a quality event.

A special thank you as well to Paul and the entire Maryborough Speedway team for allowing us the opportunity to race at the venue and be part of such a successful meeting. Your support of Queensland Stockcars is greatly appreciated.

It was also fantastic to see the sportsmanship across the pits all weekend, with drivers helping each other get cars repaired and back on track. That’s what Stockcar racing is all about.

Congratulations to everyone who competed, and thank you to all the crews, officials, volunteers, and supporters who made the event possible.

That wraps up the Queensland Stockcar season — now it’s time to get back into the sheds, build some new cars, and let’s see even bigger numbers next season. Looking forward to seeing everyone back at the racetrack!
