Coaching is about more than the game. 🏉💚

Coaching has been a huge focus for us throughout 2026 developing coaches, supporting volunteers and creating better environments for everyone involved in our game.

A simple reminder, though: if they’re wearing green socks, they’re under 18. 🟢

Just like the players, they are learning, developing and gaining experience.

They won’t get every decision right. They won’t get every call right. And that’s okay.

What they need from us is the same thing we expect from our young players - respect, encouragement, patience and the opportunity to learn.

Let’s make sure our sideline behaviour helps build the next generation of coaches and officials, rather than driving them away.

We all have a role to play in creating the game we want our kids to be part of.

The Darwin Brothers are through to the 2026 Grand Final after a commanding victory over the Northern Sharks in tonight’s Major Semi Final at TRL Stadium.

The Minor Premiers delivered another strong performance when it mattered, earning a week off and a direct passage to Grand Final Day on Saturday, 12 September.

The Sharks’ season is far from over. They now head into next Saturday’s Preliminary Final against the Palmerston Raiders, with the winner advancing to face Brothers for the 2026 DABSCO Premiership.

🏉 THE STAND | GATLEY SHIELD

The Litchfield Bears are through to the Preliminary Final after defeating the Northern Sharks in today’s Gatley Shield Minor Semi Final at TRL Stadium.

In an elimination clash, the Bears did what was needed to keep their season alive and earn another week of Finals footy.

For the Sharks, today brings their 2026 Gatley Shield campaign to an end after a season of representing their club with pride.

The Bears now advance to next Saturday’s Preliminary Final, with a place on Grand Final Day up for grabs.

The Darwin Brothers are the first team through to the 2026 Grand Final after an impressive victory over the Nightcliff Dragons in today’s Major Semi Final at TRL Stadium.

The Minor Premiers continued their strong season when it mattered most, earning themselves a week off and a direct passage to Grand Final Day on Saturday, 12 September.

For the Dragons, the Premiership dream remains alive. They now head to next Saturday’s Preliminary Final, where they’ll face the Litchfield Bears for the remaining place in the decider.

What a finish at TRL Stadium!

The Litchfield Bears are through to the Under 18 Boys Grand Final after an incredible Golden Point victory over the combined Katherine Cowboys / South Darwin Rabbitohs side.

Locked together at the end of regulation time, the Major Semi Final went into Golden Point, with the Bears finding the match-winning score to secure their place in the decider. 🐻🏆

A huge effort from both teams in a finals contest that went right down to the wire.

For the Bears, it means a direct passage to the Grand Final on Saturday 12 September, while Katherine/Souths get another opportunity through next weekend's Preliminary Final.

🏉 THE STAND | DABSCO PREMIERSHIP MINOR SEMI FINAL

The Palmerston Raiders are through to the Preliminary Final after defeating the Litchfield Bears in today’s Minor Semi Final at TRL Stadium.

With both teams fighting to keep their season alive, the Raiders produced the performance they needed to book another week of Finals footy.

For the Bears, today brings their 2026 DABSCO Premiership campaign to an end after earning their place in The Stand Finals Series.

The Raiders now turn their attention to next Saturday’s Preliminary Final, with a place in the 2026 Grand Final on the line.
