Proudly designed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander AFL legend Andrew McLeod, this artwork celebrates our Torres Strait Island heritage and the people who have shaped my journey.
Every symbol has meaning.
🥁 The Warup (Drum)
The Warup carries the heartbeat of our Islands.
Its rhythm represents the energy, discipline and spirit I bring into every coaching session. Every workout has a beat. Every heartbeat reminds us we’re alive and capable of more.
🐊 Koedal (Crocodile)
The protective skin of the Koedal flows around the warrior spear.
It represents strength, resilience and protection.
Like the crocodile, we learn to stay patient, stay focused and strike with purpose when the moment comes.
🗡️ The Warrior Spear
Running through the centre is the warrior spear.
It symbolises direction, courage and standing strong in your identity.
As we move through life, we stay true to who we are, honouring our ancestors while leading the next generation.
🐢 The Waru (Turtle)
The three Waru represent my greatest purpose—
My wife and My daughters.
The turtle reminds us that family is our foundation.
No matter how far life takes us, we always know where home is.
🧺 Traditional Weaving
The woven mat patterns honour our Elders.
These are the places where stories are shared, knowledge is passed down and culture lives on through generations.
Every lesson begins with someone willing to teach.
🌊 The Ocean
The ocean surrounds our Islands.
It is our provider, our connection and our pathway between communities.
It reminds us to stay grounded, adaptable and connected to Country and culture.
🦈 Baidem (Shark)
The shark’s teeth represent courage, determination and the warrior spirit.
To our people, the Baidem is respected for its strength and fearlessness.
A reminder to face every challenge head-on.
