Yesterday Michael Hulse and Nathan King played off for the Club Championship.
Congratulations to Michael who continued on his good form for the year and is the 2026 Club Champion.
In the second four Wayne Duffield and John Earnshaw battled out a close contest all day with Wayne winning on the 18th hole.

Other players joined the finalists and played a stableford for the Spry's Butchers and Henderson Hardware Trophies who were sponsors for the day. Six players travelled out from Collie to join the locals with Reg from Spry's presenting the trophies at the end of the day.

Runner Up: Vin Fordham Lamont 34 points

A beautiful day greeted our women golfers today for the Dunweld Trophy. Rhonda Pollard played a terrific round 116-41-75 taking out first place, from Pam Stockley 111-35-76. Many thanks to Clinton and Hayley Hulse for their generous sponsorship. Rhonda had a great birdie ferret on 13, and Zellie a ferret on 7. Robyn Lubcke and Judy Wunnenberg shared the nearest the pins, while Judy took out the longest drive. Thank you to The Great Awakening Cafe and Boolading Blues (Scott and Mel Ewen) for their weekly sponsorship of the nearest the pins. All our sponsors are very much appreciated.

What a terrific final. Congratulations to Judy and Helen for a tight final, the lead changing regularly during the game. On the 36th hole Judy prevailed by one shot to clinch the win by that solitary hole. The game was played with determination, great sportsmanship and skill. Both players are to be congratulated on their games throughout the year. Thanks to caddies Maureen and John.

On the 15th August on a perfect day for golf and on a beautiful golf course, Darkan hosted players from the Melville Cricket Club and Moodiarrup Golf Club.
41 players played in an ambrose sponsored by Saxon Industries.
Thank you to Andrew Ricetti for his generous sponsorship of the day.
After a great day of golf, everyone was invited to enjoy the meal provided afterwards.

The winners of the day were David Steddy (Darkan) with Drew Marshall & Oli Kelly from the Melville Cricket Club 71-12 2/3-58 1/3
The runners up were Roclea South (Darkan) with Shawn Gillies & Riley Downey from the Meville Cricket Club 70-8 1/2-61 1/2

Results from the last two weeks of Women's golf at Darkan Golf Club.
President's Trophy 29th July was won by Judy Wunnenberg with a fabulous 90-18-72 from Helen with 95-21-74. Nearest the pin Robyn and Judy. Longest drive Robyn.
5th August club Trophy day. Congratulations to Zellie Schinzig on your first win with 34 points! Pipping Judy on 33. Nearest the pin Robyn and Helen. Sometimes the cream rises to the top! In this case it's Robyn Lubcke for taking out the birdie hole prize, and the longest drive on the 29th July. It's been a long time since the birdie hole prize was won so it was Robyn's shout at the bar!
