Barra dowel kit.

Rebuilding a Barra engine and wanting to replace the dowels as well??
Bad news is the head dowels, timing cover dowels nor the cam cap dowels come in rebuild kits…I found out the hard way and had my own made instead. Only better than OEM.

There’s nothing more frustrating than misplacing the cylinder head dowels or to find out it didn’t come in the rebuild kit…right at the crucial time of putting the head gasket on. Get in early and be prepared.
So I had my own designed and made.
Made from wear resistant, very hard wearing GCR15 bearing steel.
Bearing steel undergoes full quenching for high hardness.
Overkill I know, but anything I do has to be better than OEM.

✅ Ford Barra BA/FGX Front Timing Cover Dowels (Pair)
Replace those rusty mild steel factory dowels with 304 stainless steel.

✅Barra camshaft cap dowels.
Ever crushed and deformed those pesky little dowels underneath the cam caps?
I have had them CNC machined out of 304 stainless steel.

VL Commodore owners rejoice…
Anyone who has tried to replace the 4” speakers in the dash of a VL Commodore will know the pain. Any other normal aftermarket 4” speaker is too deep in the magnet and contacts the metal body or too high in the tweeter and contacts the dash speaker cover.

The search is over..
Finally have I been able to find a quality speaker that fits straight into the factory mounting position that doesn’t contact the body nor touch the speaker dash cover.
Not only that but I have also managed to find a patch harness that connects the speaker to the factory harness.
Speakers are 4ohm 50w with a polypropylene cone and rubber suspension ring.
Light years ahead of your original old 20w paper cone speakers designed for AM radios..

Not often I head down to the shed on a weekend to pack “work” orders, normally that’s a weekday task.
