This six O single fin was built in 2009 (17 yo ago!) when I was living little wooden shack opposite of Kirra pub. It brings back me a lot of good memories and surfing a lot at Snapper back then.
Of course whole process was smashed by me, fully hand crafted and I remember those insane pinline took at least 2 days of tape up. The board was pure magic just coz I was so attached to it and so obsessed about it…then I sold the board or gave away can’t remember what happened but 17 years later she’s finally came back to me and thanks million to my sister Joey Dr Caroline Orli, Veterinarian very impressive treasure hunt skill and I owe you big time haha 🖤

Happy birthday to Kyuss King and another successful story behind this beauty 6’10 Phil Myers and process of restoration was so excited.
As we required Kyuss wanted to ride it though there is no way gain weight with those all new resin and repairs.
She was 4.56kg on digital scale and we carefully took out old hot coat without touching fibre glass and repaired all ding spot.
Tracking the weight and it was 4.25kg. The process wasn’t complicated but sanding part was quite sensitive to not hit the fibreglass.(there is fair bit of dent specially on deck side) After all new gloss resin was added and finally polish her up. Now she had new coat and weight is exact same as 4.56kg. yes that was pure magic.
Appreciated this project and so happy to see the board is in good hands now. It is so happy to se she’s going back to ocean after nesrly 5 decades.

Commission work from the man himself Paul Joske from Valla surfboard he wanted me to rebuild replica of his own shaped board built it in around 1985 to his client for her son’s birthday as gift. 40 years later the board was founded under their own house and she wanted replicate it and gift it for another birthday gift.
The board came up really nice and thanks so much Sage for looking for those classic logo for us🙏
