Last month we had an amazing night at DYRSL for our Annual Awards evening to celebrate a history making season. Over the next few days keep an eye out for photos of our award winners.

Here is a small snippet of the evening.

Congratulations to our brothers who today took home the 1st and 2nd grade Premier Cricket Premierships in dominant fashion. That’s 6 out of 10 Cricket NSW trophies home on the Northern Beaches 💚💙

WCC ARE 1ST GRADE PREMIERS.

What a statement to read. Something which always felt so achievable but always evaded our hands, the RB Clark Cup is in the WCC trophy cabinet for the first time since 1988/89 and only the second time ever!

We waited a fair while to hold the Club Championship trophy but have managed to go back to back. We hope the 38-year wait to lift the 1st Grade title holds a similar story.

2nd grade are premiers for the first time since 2017/18 and for the 9th time in our history. After securing the minor premiership but failing to go on with it last season, the boys put together 3 convincing wins in the finals series to lift the SJ Mayne Trophy.

It was a finals series dominated with the bat, featuring 923 runs across 3 games supported by their bowlers who did well to take 10-wickets each game on some flat wickets.

After a dominant year with only one loss, Ruben and the 3rd grade side swept through the finals contenders in dramatic fashion to secure the JB Hollander Cup.

It was a finals series dominated with ball in hand, taking 30 wickets for 223 runs across 3 games.

It is the first time the JB Hollander Cup has been held by WCC since 2020/21 and the 7th time in history… perhaps long overdue given the domination WCC 3rd grade has had over the regular competition in recent seasons

A week ago today…

2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, 2024/25 and now 2025/26… 6 4th grade premierships in a row 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

In a year where leadership was fractured, captain Bev stood up and led the boys through a successful finals campaign; not without its troubles after losing the quarter final but progressing through as the highest ranked losing side. Well done to Bev, Clifty and the 4th grade squad.

It’s fair to call 4th grade the breeding ground for WCC success. Many players, now part of higher grades have shared success in 4th grade before going on and continuing their premiership winning ways.

It needs no words… Pat Day everyone 👏💚. We’re willing to call it the greatest finals run in Warringah history, and perhaps the greatest in the shires competition.

Where do we even start? Pat Day you absolute hero. Steaming through Burwood’s top order, Pat’s 6-wickets led the way to help roll Burwood for 92 and earn himself player of the final.

It was his 4th 5fa in a row (yes that means he took a 5fa in every finals match). That’s 21 wickets @ 7 to finish the year. Not to mention 6 5fas for the season!

Not only that, Pat’s efforts shot him to the top of 1st grade’s wicket takers, sitting pretty at 43.

We could go on and on about his performances and stats but it’s fair to say that if you’re a supporter of the MIG, you owe this man a beer!

What a way to cap off a brilliant year with bat and ball for Chris Jones on Sunday. His 104 runs put any hopes for Burwood winning into the ground.

Chris’ year down under with the bat featured 4 centuries with 856 runs at an average of 47. To add to that he took 27 wickets @ 19 including a 6-wicket haul in round 1.

It’s fair to say we like the look of the man in green (sorry ). We would love to see you back soon Chris 💚
