GLECA Sydney Grading is this Wednesday!
Grading is happening this Wednesday at our normal training time. (7:30pm)
For those participating, the theory test is now available. The theory test is recommended to be completed before class, so you’re prepared for the grading session.
If you have any questions about the grading process or what you need to prepare, reach out to Chris or Ken before Wednesday.
Good luck to everyone undertaking their grading, and we’ll see you in class!

Tonight for the first night in a long time we hit capacity. Thank you to all the Glecan new and old learning some interesting techniques and fighting as many peeps as possible.
Next week GLECA Sydney will be doing Grading so normal classes will be postponed til the 2nd.
We now have a merch store!
Some basic tees are on it now and the merchandise line will increase as more ideas are produced.
GLECA is a non-for-profit so all money earned will go back into the school.

What an incredible showing from the GLECA Sydney and Canberra fighters at *Capital Krieg 2026* hosted by The Canberra School of Arms and Armour.
Saturday’s Longsword tournament saw our competitors represent the clan with skill, professionalism, and determination throughout the day:
⚔️ Chris – 2nd Place
⚔️ Ken – 5th Place
⚔️ Harrison – 10th Place
⚔️ Andrew – 11th Place
On Sunday, Chris also competed in the Sword & Buckler tournament, once again securing 2nd place amongst a field of high-quality competitors, making for another hard-fought and energetic day of fencing.
Every competitor fenced amazingly well and embodied what it means to be part of the clan. Proud to be a Glecan and proud of the strong representation our members continue to bring to the wider HEMA community.

Great Swordy Sunday session.

We will be focused on longsword tomorrow night at GLECA Sydney.
Training is on at 7:30pm.
GLECA training sessions work through structured drills, technical fundamentals, and controlled partner exercises designed to build timing, distance, and clean mechanics. Whether you’re brand new or refining existing skills, the session will cater to all experience levels.

All experience levels are welcome. Bring a water bottle and a willingness to learn, we’ll take care of the rest.
