There is something I love about arriving at the studio before everyone else.
The morning sun pours through the windows, the room is quiet, and this is where every class begins—not on the reformer or the mat, but with pen and paper.
Every session is carefully planned with intention. I think about how I want you to feel, not just what exercises we’re going to do.
I want you to walk into a space where you can soften the noise of everyday life, reconnect with your breath, move your body with purpose, and leave feeling calmer, stronger and more grounded than when you arrived.
That hour is your time.
A little pause.
A little reset.
A chance to come home to yourself.
I’d love for you to join me and experience it for yourself.

✨ You Asked…
One of the things I love most about teaching Pilates is the conversations that happen before and after class.
Questions like…
• What’s the difference between Pilates and Yoga?
• How often should I practise to see results?
• Can I continue Pilates throughout pregnancy?
• When is it safe to return after having my baby?
• Is Pilates only for people who are already fit?
If you’ve ever wondered any of these too, this carousel is for you.
I believe understanding why we move is just as important as the movement itself. When you feel informed, you can move with more confidence and choose the approach that’s right for your body.
I’d love to make this a regular series, so if you have a Pilates or women’s health question, leave it in the comments or send me a DM. Your question might be featured in the next You Asked… 🤍
Save this post for later if you think you’ll come back to it, and share it with someone who’s been curious about starting Pilates.
Some seasons don’t give us perfect silence… they give us little feet on yoga mats. 🤍
Today I rolled out my mat, planning to enjoy a little yoga while the boys played.
Instead, they asked if they could join me.
It reminded me that our children are always watching—not just what we say, but how we care for ourselves.
School holidays can feel wonderfully chaotic. My movement doesn’t always happen in a quiet studio anymore. Instead, it comes with laughter, little voices, funny made-up yoga poses, and two cheeky boys who occasionally abandon the flow just to make silly faces at the camera. I didn’t even notice half of it until I watched the video back… and it’s those little moments that I know I’ll treasure one day.
I’ve stopped waiting for the “perfect” time to move.
Because movement doesn’t have to be perfect to matter.
One day these boys won’t want to roll out their mats beside me anymore. Until then, I’ll soak up every giggle, every interruption, and every beautifully messy practice we share together.
✨ The greatest lesson I can teach my children isn’t how to do yoga. It’s showing them that caring for themselves is something worth making time for.
I’d love to know…
Do your little ones ever join your workouts or yoga practice? 🤍
The Roll Up is one of the most recognised Pilates exercises… but it’s also one of the most misunderstood.
Many people think the goal is simply to sit up.
It isn’t.
The real challenge is learning to articulate your spine—slowly peeling one vertebra off the mat, then placing each one back down with control.
That takes time.
This video shows where I am with this exercise today, after years of practice. It definitely didn’t look like this when I first started, and I don’t expect it to look like this for my clients either.
In fact, one of my favourite ways to begin learning the Roll Up is with:
• slightly bent knees
• a light hand weight for counterbalance or a FlexBand around your feet to help you move slowly and with control, making it easier to feel each vertebrae peel off the mat and return one at a time.
These simple modifications make it much easier to find control, slow the movement down, and truly feel each segment of the spine moving.
The goal isn’t to achieve the “perfect” Roll Up.
The goal is to move well, understand your body, and gradually build the strength and awareness that make the movement possible.
That’s the beauty of Pilates—there’s always another layer to discover.
✨ If you’d like to start your Pilates journey or deepen your practice, I’d love to have you in class.

Sometimes the most powerful Pilates exercises are the ones performed the slowest.
The Roll Over isn’t about how high your legs go or how flexible you are. It’s about control.
Every part of the movement has intention—from activating the deep stabilising muscles of the core to pressing the arms firmly into the mat to create stability through the shoulders and upper body.
When we slow down, we stop relying on momentum and begin recruiting the muscles that truly support and strengthen the body.
This is the style of Pilates I love to teach—thoughtful, precise, and connected to breath.
Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, my classes at Bhav Yoga Studio are designed to help you move with greater awareness, build lasting strength, and reconnect with your body.
I’d love to welcome you to class. 🤍

One of my favourite moments isn’t the workout itself.
It’s the few quiet minutes before we begin ✨
People arrive, unroll their mats, take a breath, and leave the outside world at the door.
For the next hour, there’s nowhere else to be.
We’ll move with intention, build strength, improve mobility, and reconnect with our bodies through breath-led Pilates grounded in traditional and contemporary principles.
If you’ve been looking for a Pilates class that feels supportive, mindful, and genuinely welcoming, I’d love to have you join us.
✨ First class is free at Bhav.

For over 12 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching Pilates in a wide variety of settings — from large group classes and boutique studios to women’s health physiotherapy clinics, private sessions, specialised prenatal and postnatal programs, and everything in between.
Those experiences have shaped the way I teach today.
I’ve explored many different styles of Pilates and movement over the years, but I’ve found myself continually returning to what drew me to Pilates in the first place: intentional movement, breath, body awareness, and the feeling of truly connecting with your body.
What I’ve discovered is that the most powerful classes aren’t necessarily the hardest or fastest.
They’re the ones that help you reconnect with your body.
The classes I teach at Bhav are grounded in both traditional and contemporary Pilates principles, with a strong focus on breath, control, awareness, strength, and mindful movement.
Rather than rushing from exercise to exercise, we’ll move with intention.
You’ll build strength, improve mobility, develop greater body awareness, and leave feeling both energised and more connected to yourself.
Whether you’re completely new to Pilates or have years of experience, my goal is to create a space where movement feels supportive, challenging, and sustainable.
I’d love for you to come and experience it for yourself.
