Why Binding is important - often overlooked but a critical feature of a crickets bats construction, especially around the shoulders, where the handle meets the blade. This twine wrapping serves both a protective and structural function.

Who hates dinging the back of their favourite bat!
Try this old solution that has been tried and tested on floorboards for years and Tempus Cricket just proved it works on cricket bats 🏏

Handy Tip:

1. Place a slightly damp (not wet) cloth over the ding,
2. Turn iron onto medium heat,
3. Hold iron on the ding area, using steam a few times.
4. Check and keep repeating until ding has disappeared or small enough to sand out.

The heat and steam naturally swells the wood back into poistion, you won't ever care about a ding on your bat ever again!

So, the L&W ended up with a 2oz weight reduction, but more importantly a better pick up and balance!
