We all know he's been at this level for a while now, but the competition is not out at the next comp or on our mats. It's within ourselves. We just have to see that for ourselves and reach our own potential.

Another night in the books for our teens. Possibly the hardest working and most dedicated at Team Sparta.
Leading the next generation is no easy task. Not just as competitors, but through the martial arts as adults.
They hang on our every word, we hang on theirs.
This is the ebb and flow of life.
Thank you eternally to Coach Katherine Smith for all you've put into these kids. It will matter (maybe one day we'll get a spot on a table on their wedding day πŸ˜‚).

Young J*p with 2 silver.
Ata came away with an injury to his knee in the 2nd match in his division.

Introducing Team Sparta's new Freestyle Wrestling Coach. πŸ€ΌπŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

Coach Mushtaq grew up in Afghanistan where he trained and competed at the highest level.
He also lived and trained in Russia and competed for many years before moving to Australia.

Amongst many achievements and world class podium wins, he also has wrestling university diplomas from Russia and the Middle East.

We are proud to have such a fine talent pass on his knowledge to us at Team Sparta.

Make sure to try out one of his classes and see why wrestling is one of the best martial arts to have as a foundation.
