Craigieburn Basketball Association is excited to announce our VJBL 1’s coaches for the 2026/27 season!

Congratulations to all coaches appointed to lead our Eagles teams next season. We’re looking forward to seeing the experience, energy and commitment they bring to our program as we prepare for another big year of VJBL basketball.

🏀 VJBL RESULTS | FINALS 🦅

A big weekend of basketball for our Craigieburn Eagles, with a number of teams taking the court for finals, while our U12.1 Boys and U20 teams wrapped up their regular seasons.

Congratulations to U12.4 Girls, U14.1 Boys, U14.5 Boys, U16.3 Boys, U16.4 Boys and U18.2 Girls on winning their finals and progressing through!

Bad luck to U12.1 Girls, U12.3 Girls, U14.3 Boys, U18.2 Boys and U18.3 Boys, who fought hard in their finals but unfortunately saw their seasons come to an end. Thank you to all players, coaches, team managers and families for your commitment and support throughout the season.

Our U12.1 Boys, U20.2 Boys and U20.1 Girls also played their final regular-season games, bringing their 2026 VJBL seasons to a close. Congratulations to each team on everything they have achieved this season.

We’re pleased to welcome Sam Cartwright to Craigieburn Basketball Association as our new Operations Manager.

Sam brings a wealth of basketball experience to CBA, having spent the past five years with the Bendigo Braves, following nine years working with Basketball Victoria. His experience across both association and broader basketball environments will be a valuable addition as we continue to strengthen and grow basketball throughout the Craigieburn region.

Sam shared the following on joining CBA:

“I’m honoured to be joining Craigieburn Basketball Association and excited to continue the great work that's been done here over the past few years. CBA has built a strong home for basketball in the region — welcoming players of all ages and abilities and giving them real pathways to develop. I'm looking forward to building on that foundation: growing participation across the Craigieburn region, strengthening our connections with the local community, supporting the volunteers who make this association run, and working towards basketball being the sport of choice and CBA being the association of choice for our region. Basketball has the power to bring people together, and I want CBA to keep being a place where that happens, safely and enjoyably, for everyone involved.”

We’re excited to have Sam on board and look forward to the experience, leadership and knowledge he will bring to the association.

Congratulations to Luella Chong Gum on her selection to the Basketball Victoria Under-12 Country Jamboree! 🦅🏀

Luella will join some of the state’s top young regional athletes for four days of high-level coaching, skill development and tournament-style competition.

An outstanding achievement and a fantastic opportunity to continue developing her game alongside some of Victoria’s best young talent.

ONE registration link — select the right group for your child:
▪️ Never played VJBL? → New to Rep
▪️ Currently or previously played VJBL (any club)? → VJBL
▪️ U12s & U20s → select your age group (no separate New to Rep tryout)

Two phases:
Phase 1 — New to Rep tryout (U14, U16 & U18): Thursday 1 October
Phase 2 — VJBL tryouts: 5–22 October (dates by age group in the carousel)
