What a stunning morning for our 54 parkrunners and 7 volunteers - spring has definitely sprung, with the equinox just a couple of days away!

Welcome to the Cleland first-timers - 19 people, or 35% of this morning’s cohort, and 60% of the first ten finishers, including the first two home.

Congratulations to Melissa B, Caitlin A and Karina B on choosing Cleland for their first-ever parkrun, and an unsung congratulations to Chris P on his 25th and Jessica P on her 75th.

As always, many thanks to the volunteers - Phil (time keeper), Anne (tokens), Evie (scanning), Kent (course check), Doug (tail walker and Cleland signage) and, of course, Andrew with his urn!

Today's Cleland parkrun #419 was a study in contrasts compared to last week's rain, wind, and cold. A glorious clear and warm day, with large numbers of kangaroos grazing on the side of the track, and even a koala. A very fast for Cleland 19:03 by our first finisher, one of 3 PB's for the day. 12 of the 46 participants were first timers. Congratulations to our Tail Walker for his 300th parkrun finish today!

Unfortunately it rained sideways so hard at the end of last week's parkrun that the volunteer whiteboard got wiped clean. Could anyone who volunteered please let me know, because I only have records of those who were already on the board from the previous week (Paul on tail and Alison on photos). Otherwise we're very light-on for volunteers next Saturday. 😞

Rain affected results from today’s very wet parkrun have now been posted below.
All have been fixed and Hopefully they’re all as they should be. Thankyou Andrew for putting in an afternoon’s effort and sorting it all out. 👍
Let us know if you seem to have run twice as fast as you should have!!!

Just a little wet at Cleland parkrun this morning, but always worth the effort!
