The official page of the Brisbane Tigers RLFC.
The Brisbane Tigers are a community based, not-for-profit rugby league club based at Langlands Park, Coorparoo, QLD. Formed in 1933, they competed in the Brisbane Rugby League from 1934 to 1996. From 1996 they competed in the Queensland Rugby League’s premier state-wide female and male competitions, the Hostplus Cup and BMD Premiership. The Club is currently affiliated with NRL club Melbourne Storm.

Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Shane Edwards.
Shane provided significant service to our Club as an Executive Director, bringing considerable leadership, experience and commitment to the Brisbane Tigers.
He also played an important leadership role in the Club’s NRL bid projects, sharing our ambition for the future and working tirelessly to advance opportunities for the Tigers and rugby league in Brisbane.
Shane’s contribution to our Club extended well beyond his formal roles. His knowledge, professionalism and passion for rugby league were greatly valued, and his contribution to the Brisbane Tigers will be remembered with enormous respect.
On behalf of our Management Committee, staff, players, members and the broader Brisbane Tigers community, we extend our sincere condolences to Sue and the entire Edwards family at this very difficult time.
Our thoughts are with Shane’s family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
Rest in peace, Shane.
