From a Coorparoo junior to a premiership player, Brisbane Lions draftee and now St Kilda AFLW player — Jesse Tawhiao-Wardlaw has certainly come a long way! 👏❤️💙
Jesse was part of our U17G premiership side in 2018 before helping our QAFLW side to premiership glory in 2019. She was drafted to the Brisbane Lions in 2018 and has since gone on to make her mark at AFLW level, now wearing the St Kilda colours.
And how good is it that there’s now an U11G team in our Juniors named after her! 🥹👏 A pretty special full-circle moment for a Coorparoo junior.

Congratulations to Shayla McDonald on her selection in the inaugural AFL Indigenous and Multicultural Futures Program.
Recognised among the nation’s most promising emerging footballers, Shayla will head to Waverley Park, this weekend to take part in an elite development camp featuring high-level training, leadership and wellbeing sessions, culminating in the AFL Indigenous Futures vs AFL Multicultural Futures showcase match. The match will be live streamed on the AFLW website and app.

A huge congratulations to Indiana Scheffler on being selected in the Marsh AFL National Futures Girls Program.
Bringing together some of the most exciting young football talent from across the country, the Futures Program provides players with the opportunity to train and compete in a high-performance environment ahead of their draft year.
Indiana will travel to Melbourne this weekend, with the program culminating in the Marsh AFL National Futures Girls Match at Windy Hill on Sunday. This match is live streamed through the AFL website and app.
This selection is a testament to Indiana’s commitment, talent and development, and we’re excited to see her represent on the national stage. 🩵👑
