Meet Bamse 🐨💚
Meet Bamse, a young female koala helping shape the future of koala conservation.
Bamse has become the first wild koala in history to receive a chlamydia vaccine implant, a major milestone in the fight against one of the biggest threats facing Australia's koalas. Developed through a project led by Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and QUT, the implant delivers two vaccine doses and could play an important role in protecting future generations.
At Beach Mate, we believe every outdoor adventure starts with nature. That's why we're proud to support Currumbin Wildlife Hospital and the incredible work they do to rescue, rehabilitate, and protect Australia's native wildlife.
