WLG - FRIDAY PROCOMP – TROST TOPS THE FIELD WITH 40

Friday’s Medley Stableford ProComp attracted 12 players, with Dean Trost putting together the round of the day.

Playing from a Daily Handicap of 8, Dean returned an excellent 40 Stableford points to take the win.

Denise Johnson continued her recent good form, finishing runner-up with 38 points on a countback.

A small field of six players took to Worrigee Links for Thursday’s Medley Stableford ProComp, with Brock Millan producing the best round of the day.

Playing from a Daily Handicap of -2, Brock recorded 35 Stableford points to take the win.

WLG - WEDNESDAY PROCOMP – HOFFMAN COMPLETES A BIG DAY

A strong field of 53 players contested today’s Wednesday Medley Stableford ProComp at Worrigee Links, with the leading Vets carrying their good form straight across to the ProComp leaderboard.

Christopher Hoffman was the standout performer, with his excellent 41 Stableford points securing both the Grade C victory in the Vets competition and overall honours in the ProComp.

1st – Christopher Hoffman – 41 points
2nd – Brian Malvern – 38 points
3rd – Denise Johnson – 37 points C/B
4th – Tracey Buckley – 37 points C/B
5th – Dean Smith – 37 points

It was a particularly strong day for our Vets, with all five ProComp placegetters also featuring among the leading players in their respective grades earlier in the day.

Congratulations to Christopher on an impressive double victory and well done to Brian, Denise, Tracey and Dean on some excellent scoring.

WLG - WEDNESDAY VETS – HOFFMAN FIRES 41

Another strong turnout for Wednesday Vets golf at Worrigee Links, with 58 players contesting today’s Open Single Stableford.

The standout score of the day came from Christopher Hoffman, who produced an excellent 41 Stableford points to take out Grade C.

Grade A saw Dean Smith claim the honours with 37 points, while Tracey Buckley matched that score to secure the Grade B victory.

SPRING JUNIOR GOLF CLINIC – BACK FOR THE SPRING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

Following the success of our first Junior Golf Clinic during the last school holiday period, we’re excited to be doing it all again at Worrigee Links this Spring!

The programme will run across four afternoons, giving our juniors the opportunity to learn, practise and enjoy their golf in a fun and encouraging environment.

Dates: 29 September, 1 October, 6 October & 8 October
Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm
Cost: $50 for Bronze Members | $150 for Non-Members

Places are deliberately limited so that every child receives plenty of attention, with a minimum of 3 and maximum of only 8 participants.

Whether they’ve played before or are just starting out, the focus will be on developing their golf skills, building confidence and, most importantly, having fun.

Our first clinic filled well and proved a great success, so get in early to secure a place before you miss out.

WLG - TUESDAY PROCOMP – HOLLOWAY COMPLETES THE DOUBLE

A great day on the course for Karen Holloway, who followed her victory in today’s Ladies Open by also taking out the Tuesday Medley Stableford ProComp.

Karen’s excellent 41 Stableford points proved too strong for the 18-player ProComp field, earning her the top prize.

1st – Karen Holloway – 41 points
2nd – Denise Johnson – 38 points

A particularly good Tuesday for Karen with victories in both competitions, while Denise also enjoyed a strong day, finishing runner-up in the ProComp after placing third in the Ladies Open.

WLG - SUNDAY PROCOMP – WALSH FIRES 42

A strong field of 39 players took to Worrigee Links for Sunday’s Medley Stableford ProComp, with some excellent scoring at the top of the leaderboard.

Trent Walsh produced the standout round of the day, returning an impressive 42 Stableford points to take the win by two.

Behind him it was extremely tight, with Bobby Hill, Leigh Ardler and Shawn Frew all finishing on 40 points, leaving the countback to determine the final placings.

WLG - SATURDAY STABLEFORD – AKEHURST & HOYE LEAD THE WAY

Another strong Saturday field at Worrigee Links, with 88 players contesting today’s Open Saturday Single Stableford.

There was some excellent scoring across all three grades, with Stephen Akehurst and Cooper Hoye sharing the best scores of the day with 40 Stableford points.

2nd – John King – 38 points
3rd – Zac Blattner – 37 points C/B

Grade B
1st – Ryan Newbould – 38 points C/B
2nd – Jeffrey Coe – 38 points
