Breaking news ... Daphne was woken up from her winter hibernation last weekend to the exciting news that the Coogee Jetty to Jetty Swim had been announced as the "Event of the Year" by 🏆🏆💛💛

Very cool to win such an award - and it's nice to be able to recognise all of the hard work that goes in to delivering this event.

Congratulations to everyone involved from Cockburn Masters - this event is run entirely by volunteers. A dedicated Event Committee works all year round to meticulously plan each event and make it even better and more enjoyable every year. Supported brilliantly by 100+ volunteers from Cockburn Masters members and their families - it is the BEST example of a small community group giving back to the community on a large scale. 👏👏👏👏

More than 1,600 swimmers took to the water on Sunday for the 30th anniversary Coogee Jetty to Jetty Swim 🌊

Events like this are made possible through our Cockburn Community Fund, supporting local organisations to deliver events that bring our community together.

The team from Cockburn Masters said the support they received from the City of Cockburn was second to none, and they wouldn't be able to hold an event of this scale without our invaluable funding support.
