🏏 Preliminary Final Stumps Report - proudly brought to you by 🍻
2nd Grade were fighting to keep their title hopes alive against rivals GSNDS. Evan won the toss and chose to bowl on a day where weather could potentially play a role in the outcome. A good start by the Edwards/Jascyzk combo was wiped away after one of their batsman went to town and scored 132 off 92 and took the game away from the guys. The skipper took 4 on what was a tough first innings for the guys.
Chasing a mammoth score of 300 an all time chase was needed by the lads to survive and advance. It was a great start by Harty to push the innings along with his partner Carnegie playing the long game and batting for 36 overs and scoring a remarkable 78. The skipper tried to save the day again with an aggressive and inspirational 80 but ultimately time got the better of the lads who fell short in a fighting display.

🏏 Finals Round 1 Stumps Report - proudly brought to you by 🍻
First Grade are off to the Grand Final. The boys put the effort in both weeks and could not be stopped. Uzun layed the foundation with a well earned 86 which put the guys in a great position with multiple contributions around him. Then the strength of the team, the bowling attack did not let the pressure up, led by Bradley with 3fa and the rest of the attack they showed why they deserve their spot on the biggest day of all.
2nd grade will have to go the long way to win the competition this year. It started with a trip out to Auburn which had hot and very thick conditions. The skipper chose to field and the bowler laid the platform early with Edwards and Jasczyk both taking early wickets which helped the team restrict the opposition to a strong total. In reply there was controversy with World War 3 starting in regards to placement of cones. This didnt worry the boys with the top order being in control for the entire innings. Edwards led the way with some big heaves to keep the score ticking with Salakas and Madonis doing their part to finish the total off. The lads got the total with a handful of balls to spare. They live to fight another day

First Grade Minor Premiers!

🏏 Final Round Stumps Report - proudly brought to you by 🍻
First Grade needed a win to stay in contention for the Minor Premiership. The lads had another allound team effort with Forts, Lochner and Beckett taking 2fa each. In reply Burnley’s best Elliot Bradley scored an unbeaten 50* to get the lads over the line to WIN THE MINOR PREMIERSHIP.
A fantastic achievement by the lads who have been so consistant all year with everyone contributing.
2nd grade already had a finals birth sewn up and were playing for seedings. The Edwards and Jasczyk combination steamed through the opposition on a very hot day in Centennial. The lads were abit unlucky with their tail wagging and setting a good total on a small ground.
In reply the guys struggled to hang in there with consistant wickets falling early. Nitties who hadnt batted much showed his patience and score a fantastic 32 to keep the guys in there but unfortunately ran out of partners. A lesson learned by the lads who will look to win the competition being the 4th seed.
