Our social have been slow over winter. Busy members have been travelling, repairing, creating artworks, bike riding and creating music.
Karen Branch(me) travelled to the UK and with a super skipper scored a 2nd in the Global B14 Champs Royal Torbay Yacht Club. Super proud of us both for the work we put into planning - packing- getting fit - fixing our little errors and enjoying the ride. Thanks Glenn Cardwell for the ride.
Back to planning for the season let’s get down to the club on Monday at 7pm for the annual general meeting for a chat - learn what’s planned for the season ahead - meet the new exec and have a drink and some after dinner snacks.
See you at Connell's Point Sailing Club on Monday

Sailing is one of the few sports where families can genuinely participate together, at (almost) any age, socially or competitively. It's a sport where real friendships and connections are made, regardless of ability.
Sarah and Kylie live 600 km apart but their families have a solid friendship that now goes beyond just boats. The mums enjoy racing NS14's together, and were told recently at the NS14 States that their laughter could be heard "all the across the course."
Outside of the the NS, they're both heavily involved with their clubs, Sarah a long-term member of Connell's Point Sailing Club and Kylie at her hometown Coffs Harbour Yacht Club - Off the beach sailing. Both enjoy teaching others to sail, watching beginners, whether children or adults grow, in ability and confidence on the water.
They also enjoy sailing with their daughters - Kylie & Mia the current Heron Sailing Australia National Champions, Sarah & Emily the leading Mirror Sailing New South Wales female team.
Well done ladies, you're a credit to the sport.
