Our passionate and highly experienced teachers aim to share their passion for our Greek & Cypriot heritage through dance & performance. Kimata Dance School offers Greek dancing classes which teach students a mixture of traditional and modern dances from various regions of Greece and Cyprus, including Cretan, Pontian and Nisiotika. O

A little look at some of the traditions that make Easter in Cyprus so special! 🇨🇾⛪️
Holy Week preparations: baking flaounes, koulouria and dyeing red eggs.
Good Friday: the epitaphios procession, where the symbolic tomb of Christ is carried through the streets.
Midnight mass: the Resurrection service, followed by the lambratzia, a large bonfire symbolising the burning of Judas.
Breaking the fast: enjoying foods like flaounes and trahana after church.
Easter Sunday: family gatherings, red egg cracking and souvla.
