During the past two weeks Como Croquet Club, along with five other metropolitan croquet clubs, hosted Croquet Australia's National Association Croquet Singles Championships and the Eire Cup (Interstate Competition).

Jeff Newcombe was the Como Venue Manager, and he and his crew of volunteers managed all aspects of the delivery throughout the competitions.

Prior to the tournaments much work was carried out by Club members to improve the lawns, freshen up the Club's presentation and develop officiating skills such as referees, umpires, hoop setters and scorers.

Feedback to Como from individuals and the competing State Teams was universally positive. Players were complimentary about the presentation of Como's facility, the quality and speed of the lawns, and the welcoming hospitality.

The Western Australian State Team competed at Como on two days during the Eire Cup. Photos below show most of the Team members in action.
