It was so great to have the full Flying Fruit Fly Circus executive team together at Circus Centre Melbourne! 🎪🤝✨
And what a busy week it’s been at CCM! 👀
🎭 ACT LAB with Anni Davey kicked off earlier this week with a two-day intensive, getting artists experimenting, playing and developing new ideas.
🍝 We somehow fit five lasagnes in the oven for our Community Lunch.
🥪 Yesterday, we shared toasties and tips with Ty at Talk + Toasties, talking all things QLab and managing the tech side of Fringe.
🎶 And we also kicked of the Momentum Leaders Stage 2 with Australian Youth Orchestra! 🚀
Plus, of course, our rooms have been filled with fabulous companies hiring our creative spaces, while Open Training and circus classes continue to keep the hub full of incredible artists and plenty of circus. 🤸🎪
It’s been a big week and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Meet the Fruities - pre-audition workshop! 🎪
Curious about what it’s really like to train at the Flying Fruit Fly Circus? With 2027 auditions coming up, we’re inviting young circus enthusiasts aged 8-15 to join us for a fun, hands-on taste of full-time circus school!
Spend 3 hours training like a Fruity, with:
Group warm-up & games in tumbling, handstands, aerials & manipulation Pr Performance games & creative exercises
Then stick around for our family information session to find out more about the Flying Fruit Fly Circus program.

With new drapes, acoustic panels and festoon lighting, it’s looking (and sounding) better than ever.
The acoustic upgrades have reduced reverberation making the room more comfortable for instruction, movement and collaboration, without losing the character or flexibility of the space.
