To truly surrender in a forward fold is to let go completely.

Let go of the day behind you.

Let go of the tasks ahead of you.

Let the body soften through breath, gravity and intentional focus.

Yoga is a powerful practice for creating transformation through the body, mind and energy systems.

It teaches us how to listen.

How to release.

And how to return to presence.

Divya is an experienced and dedicated yoga therapist who teaches Yoga classes on Thursdays at Lionheart.

Her classes offer a traditional grounded practice of Hatha, Yin & Nidra.

The future of our health as a species depends upon our ability to synthesise the old with the new.

The traditional wisdom contained in natural remedies combined with the modern discoveries of science presents a bright future for future generations.

At Lionheart Integrative Therapies our movement, manual and energetic therapies aim to do just that.

Training harder will not fix a body that needs better support...

Injury often develops gradually.

From repeated overload, prolonged misalignment, poor recovery and compensatory movement patterns that the body can no longer tolerate.

This is why training awareness is paramount.

Exercise strengthens the body, sharpens the mind and expands our resilience.

But when training becomes unconscious and ego-driven, it can create the very problems we are trying to avoid.

Here are five common mistakes we see in the clinic and studio:

1. Not scheduling rest and recovery
The body adapts between sessions.

2. Ignoring tightness and restricted mobility

3. Prioritising quantity over movement quality

4. Training prime movers while neglecting deeper stabilisers

5. Neglecting speed and power training
Power helps us stay athletic, responsive and physically capable as we age.

“Good health is not a state but a search for equilibrium.”

Jacques Descotes

We recently published an article exploring an integrative approach to RSI, including how repetitive loading, prolonged posture, tissue irritation, poor recovery and nervous system sensitivity can contribute to pain.

Before your next training session, ask yourself:

Am I training intelligently?

Or am I just adding more load to a system that needs better balance?

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is slow down.

Life has a way of pulling our attention outward. Work, responsibilities, notifications, conversations… we’re constantly responding to what’s happening around us. But how often do we make time to turn inward?

The Full Moon offers a beautiful opportunity to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. To check in. To let go of what no longer serves you, and to set an intention for the month ahead.

Join us for an evening of gentle mindful movement, intention setting, Yoga Nidra, and Nada Yoga the yoga of sound.

Using Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowls, acoustic guitar and other therapeutic instruments, we’ll create a space where you can simply rest. A space to slow the mind, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with a sense of calm.

Whether you’ve been feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or you’ve simply forgotten what it feels like to truly switch off, this is an invitation to give yourself permission to pause.

No experience is necessary. Just bring yourself and whatever you need to feel comfortable and warm.

Mats, bolsters, blankets and eye pillows will be provided.

When we meditate, we have to stop running from our feelings.

This is why meditation is so important for our mental and emotional health.

It gives us space to sit with what is present, soften the noise within, and return to a deeper sense of clarity.

Whether you are new to meditation or already have a regular practice, you will gain a lot from joining these seasonal meditation sessions with accredited meditation teacher .

Tracy’s practical, grounded and intuitively guided meditation practices offer a level of depth rarely found in today’s digital era.
