My Mum's Toyboy made it 5 wins in a row when he took out the John Carlton Cup at Grafton yesterday.
After beginning well, Justin Stanley took him to the front , rated him beautifully and went on for a strong win with the big weight of 62kg.

He will now take his place in the time honoured Ramornie Handicap which will hopefully open the door for a start in the $2m Kosciuszko at Randwick in October.

Congratulations to the enthusiastic owners , most of who were on course to enjoy the win.

Big thanks to the staff who work hard daily to get our horses in such great condition to achieve these results.

Dodson Hopeful Grafton Carnival Turns Toyboy Into Kosciuszko Contender - Racing New South Wales The Grafton carnival has proven a springboard to gaining a start in, and winning, The Kosciuszko in the past and trainer Brett Dodson hopes his promising sprinter My Mum’s Toyboy can use it to announce himself in 2026.

🐴 STABLE HAND WANTED – RACING STABLE | COFFS HARBOUR 🐴
We are seeking ONE reliable, hardworking stable hand to join our busy racing stable.

✅ Backpackers welcome but! (must have previous racing stable experience & valid visa)

⏰ Work hours:

• Early shift: 4am – 8/9am

• Afternoon shift: 1pm – 4:30pm

• Some Sundays (rotating roster – shared weekend work)

• Raceday strapping available

🐎 Duties include:

Feeding, saddling, hosing, brushing, cleaning stables, topping up sawdust, & general stable duties.

✔️ Reliable & punctual

✔️ Happy with early mornings & physical work

✔️ Willing to learn and follow instructions

✔️ Able to work in a team & unsupervised

✔️ Available for split shifts & weekend work

📍 No accommodation on site, however share housing is readily available in Coffs Harbour.

💼 Casual work, but full-time hours available

🚗 Driver’s licence & own car preferred

Unloading kicks off his career with a brilliant hard fought win at Eagle Farm.
To be thrown in the deep end after only one easy trial, made the win even more impressive.
He was the utmost professional for the entire day.
What made the day even more special was that he was perfectly ridden by our former stable apprentice Kyle Wilson-Taylor .

It was great to get a winner on Country Championship Qualifier day yesterday at Coffs Harbour when Jade Trees broke his maiden in impressive style.
Perfectly rated in front by up and coming apprentice Grady Spokes, he sprinted clear to win with authority.
Congratulations to the owners, Chris and W***y Thorndike , who are terrific supporters of our stable and were on track to celebrate.
