Frothers, the Guns Hearts n Hoses comp at One Mile Beach Anna Bay is next week and I’m out due to urgent surgery leaving Tim Naylor in the lurch and hoping for additional police surfers to join him at the event to show the hose and bandage crew how us gun slingers froth, rip and tear in the surf. Had the pleasure of meeting Rabbit last night at the Sydney Opera House after watching the great surf flick Bustin down the Door, which he featured heavily in alongside MR and his fellow band of Aussie and South African chargers. The Q&A session after the flick was also great to listen too, do yourselves a favour and watch the movie if you haven’t seen it before. Every Aussie Surfer should watch it at least once. 2026 APES GAMES ON THE QLD GOLD COAST 10-17 October, Surfing 13-15 October around Palm Beach area. NSW Police Council of Sport (PCOS) are granting each financial member and competitor with $300 to help with funding your trip, so make sure you join right now so you don’t miss out on the grant money as well as being a financial member of the PSA (Police Surfing Association) to meet the eligibility criteria. Got to be a financial member for minimum 6 months to receive the PCOS grant, which they reduced from 12 months to help this years competitors. $2 per fortnight for PCOS and same for PSA so less than 1 coffee a fortnight to secure funding, insurance cover and sponsor discounts… bargain.
