Regional Wellbeing Masterclasses

Based in Coffs Harbour, the Masterclasses will enable professionals and interested community members from throughout the region to access current thinking and research on wellbeing. The Masterclasses will also provide an opportunity for participants to share and exchange knowledge, skills, experiences, resources and tools with each other and to form partnerships and collaborations to further promote and enhance community wellbeing. Although the Masterclasses will all have a central theme of promoting community wellbeing each event will have a particular focus area. For example, our inaugural event has a focus on the Wellbeing of Young People where experts in positive psychology and wellbeing will share their insights and explore strategies for nurturing wellbeing in young people. The founding members of this community engagement collaboration are: Rachael Jones (Student Engagement & Wellbeing Counsellor | Southern Cross University); Liz Wilkins (Executive Officer | Youth Directions, Directions Plus); Karen Plumbe (Northside Health) and Sue Currie (Team Leader: Families & Communities | Mid Coast Communities).
