Seahorses Basketball Club

The Seahorses Basketball Committee are starting to prepare for the next competition, which starts in Term 4 and runs all the way through to the end of Term 1 in 2027. Once again, the summer competition will be ODD AGE, so age groups will be as below:

U9: Born 2018, 2019, 2020
U11: Born 2016 & 2017
U13: Born 2014 & 2015
U15: Born 2012 & 2013
U17: Born 2010 & 2011

All U9s play Wednesday afternoons.
All girls play Wednesday afternoons.
U11-U17 Boys play on Friday afternoons.

Anyone born in 2009 and earlier will need to move into senior comp (Men on Monday nights and Women on Tuesday nights).

There may be some teams that need to be reshuffled. We will absolutely try to keep friends together where possible as well as accommodate any special requests. Over the next week or two, your team managers will be touching base with everyone to find out who is coming back to play next term and who is not. Please let your managers know if you have any special requests and they will communicate them to the committee.

It’s my absolute pleasure to introduce and welcome Hannah Rowe to the Seahorses Leadership Team!!

Hannah has been instrumental in the recruitment and development our junior teams for many seasons now.

Hannah will work along side Cristi as Team Coordinator and will continue to manage her 3 Seahorses Teams.

I would like to also express my heart felt thanks to outgoing Seahorses President Kylie Kenny who has recently been appointed to the CHBA Board

Coffs Harbour's Massive NAIDOC DEADLY 3X3 Basketball Gala Day is back in 2026! 🏀🏀🏀

Coming this school holidays on Sunday 12th July!

This event is aimed to provide an opportunity for members of the community to try basketball and connect with others in a fun and inclusive day celebrating the meaning of NAIDOC through basketball. Skills sessions for young first timers and a 3x3 basketball tournament for all. All skill levels and abilities are welcome.

Age Groups/Divisions:
Skills session for 5-9 year olds
Born 2017/16/15 = U12's
Born 2014 & 2013 = U14's
Born 2012 & 2011 = U16's
Born 2010 & earlier = Opens

You can expect:
→ 3X3 Basketball Games
→ Fun games & prizes
→ Music all day
→ Free Sausage sizzle and refreshments available at event
