🥇 FQ Academy State Championships U14 Boys Silver Cup 2026 Champions!

👏 U13 Boys
After a slow start to the tournament, the boys found their rhythm in impressive fashion, finishing the week by winning the Placement Grand Final 3–0. They scored nine goals across their three playoff matches and earned praise from their opponents for the way they moved the ball, played attractive football and worked together as a team.

👏 U14 Boys
An outstanding tournament saw the boys remain unbeaten through the group stage before overcoming injuries and illness to claim the FQ Academy State Championships U14 Boys Silver Cup. Their adaptability, bravery and commitment to our club’s playing philosophy shone throughout the week, culminating in a dominant Grand Final performance to be crowned FQ Academy State Championships U14 Boys Silver Cup 2026 Champions. What an incredible achievement!

Thank you to our players for embracing our current game model and representing Redlands United with pride, passion and respect every time you stepped onto the field. It was fantastic to see both the 13's & 14's not only competing but also trying to implement our playing style throughout the tournament.

A special congratulations to our U14 Boys, who were crowned State Champions. While winning the competition was a fantastic achievement, what was even more pleasing was the way they consistently implemented our current game model, showing courage on the ball, tactical discipline and a clear understanding of how we want to play. They represented our football philosophy exceptionally well and should be incredibly proud of their performances.

To our amazing coaches, thank you for the countless hours you dedicate to creating a positive, supportive environment where our players continue to learn, develop and thrive. Your commitment to our football philosophy and to every player is what makes this club so special.

⚠️ Please note: While this is officially a Redlands United home fixture, due to the temporary unavailability of our home grounds, Saturday’s matches will be played at Nudgee Recreation Reserve.

👏 **U10 Boys**
The boys continued their outstanding form by winning every match and conceding **zero goals** throughout the tournament to be crowned **Division 3 Champions**. An incredible achievement and a testament to their hard work, teamwork and determination. Well done, boys!

👏 **U11 Girls**
The girls grew in confidence with every game, highlighted by an outstanding quarter-final performance against Coomera, pushing the match to a penalty shootout after previously being beaten twice this season. More important than the result was the belief, resilience and smiles they showed as a team. A fantastic tournament and a great step forward in their development.

👏 **U11 Boys**
The boys were outstanding throughout the tournament, conceding just **one goal** across the entire competition. Although that goal resulted in a narrow 1–0 defeat, the team showed tremendous character by bouncing back on the final day with two impressive wins while playing some excellent football.

👏 **U12 Boys**
The boys played some outstanding football throughout the Junior Cup and were unlucky to bow out in a penalty shootout. We're incredibly proud of the way they stayed true to our playing philosophy and represented the club with pride both on and off the field.

Following another determined performance on the road against North Star FC, we’re proud to recognise this week’s standout performers across our senior squads.

🧤 Oli Thiganoff has been named the Sea Fuel First Team Man of the Match after a superb display between the posts in our hard-fought 2-1 victory. Producing a number of crucial saves when it mattered most, Oli’s composure and shot-stopping proved vital in helping the Reds secure all three points.

⚽ It was also another successful afternoon for Jayden Balarezo, who continued his impressive goalscoring form by finding the back of the net once again. Congratulations to Jayden, and a special thank you to his player sponsor, CNW Electrical Wholesale, for their continued support of Redlands United FC.

⭐ Kell Chamberlain takes home the Guzman y Gomez U23 Man of the Match award following another composed and hardworking performance in the Round 17 clash. Kell’s consistency, commitment and influence throughout the match made him a deserving recipient of this week’s honour.

Full Time Results | North Star FC Away ❤️🖤

A fantastic result for our FQPL 1 First Team, who came away with a hard-fought 2–1 victory on the road against North Star FC!

The boys showed great determination and resilience and were rewarded by a valuable away win.

Earlier in the day, our U23s also put in a strong performance, earning a 1–1 draw after a spirited battle. A great afternoon overall for the Redlands.

💛🖤❤️ A Special Day of Football, Fun & Community ⚽

On Wednesday, Redlands United FC had the privilege of hosting our inaugural free Community Football Camp on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island) at the Straddie Sharks Allsports Club, welcoming around 35 children aged 4–11.

Designed to encourage participation and remove barriers to involvement, the camp was open to all children on the island, bringing together participants from a variety of backgrounds, including First Nations children, for a fun-filled day of football, friendship and learning.

The day was all about creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where every child could enjoy football, build confidence, make new friends and simply have fun, regardless of their previous experience with the game. Seeing so many smiling faces throughout the day made it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

This event simply would not have been possible without the incredible support and collaboration of so many wonderful people and organisations.

A heartfelt thank you to Minjerribah Moorgumpin Elders in Council (MMEIC) for their guidance, support and partnership throughout the planning and delivery of the camp. We are incredibly grateful for the trust placed in our club and hope this marks the beginning of a long and meaningful relationship.

A very special thank you to Taryn Ruska-Fisher from MMEIC, whose passion, encouragement and support were instrumental in bringing this initiative to life.

Thank you also to Redland City Council, particularly Brett Nutley, for your outstanding support and collaboration, including helping secure the venue at Straddie Sharks Allsports Club and generously providing food and refreshments for all participants to enjoy following the camp.
