An overwhelming majority of the Redlands community has backed the $3 billion transformation of Cleveland’s through an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) consultation process.
Almost 60% of Cleveland residents and more than half of all Redland residents who made individual submissions wrote in support of the transformational project.
Our media release in full to announce the submission of the final EIS to the Federal Government is here: https://www.walkercorp.com.au/news/2023/12/toondah-harbour-ready-for-approval-backed-by-redlands-locals
We look forward to delivering this incredible project for Queensland.

The Australian Conservation Foundation is twisting the truth about .
Their misinformation is deliberately designed to mislead the public and Federal Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek.
❌ DO NOT BELIEVE THEIR LATEST MEDIA RELEASE where they showcase crystal clear water from outside the development area to push their false narrative that dugongs swim in Toondah Harbour -

✅ Dugongs are an iconic part of Moreton Bay but their core habitat is not in proximity to Toondah Harbour’s working port, mudflats and brown turbid water. 5 years of expert scientific research has shown Dugong prefer the opposite side of Moreton Bay where ocean access and plentiful seagrass exists. Protecting Moreton Bay’s Dugongs will be a key priority when delivering the new Toondah Harbour.

Stop misleading the public BirdLife Australia and Australian Conservation Foundation
Sensationalised claims with zero scientific evidence against the new Toondah Harbour must stop.
Here's a far-fetched fallacy from BirdLife Australia: “Toondah Harbour provides important feeding and roosting habitat for more than 40,000 EPBC-listed migratory shorebirds over the Australian summer.” ❌
Or this nonsense from Australian Conservation Foundation: “Toondah Harbour, on Brisbane’s doorstep, is the single most important feeding site for eastern curlews” ❌
5 years of surveys shows Toondah Harbour has one of the lowest shorebird counts and densities along the entire Redlands Coast with an average of 4 Eastern Curlew foraging there, out of an estimated 40,000 migratory shorebirds across THE ENTIRE Moreton Bay region. In contrast, Manly Marina and Port of Brisbane have significantly higher Eastern Curlew counts, in the hundreds. ✅
Like many other coastal locations, Toondah Harbour can co-exist with shorebirds and will exceed globally recommended shorebird protection guidelines.
Read the scientific facts in the EIS, DO NOT BELIEVE THIS LATEST RELEASE FROM THE Australian Conservation Foundation - https://www.acf.org.au/conservationists-urge-minister-to-save-toondah-wetlands
