As a registered Sports Nutritionist and Personal trainer, here are 5 random thoughts that are definitely worth considering.
Despite what social media is feeding you, there are many more ways to enjoy fitness asides from Hyrox, Pilates and Bodybuilding. If you enjoy those then great! Social sport, hiking and cycling are all valid ways to workout.
Completely cutting out carbs when you’re dieting is always a recipe for disaster. You won’t adhere to it for long before you’re tired, moody and your training suffers.
Following tic tok or YouTube workouts is a great way to ensure you never make any actual progress. Get a program written for you by a professional, and stick to it for while. Watch the results flood in.
Comparing yourself to other people’s progress is definitely a sure fire way of making sure you never feel good about any progress you make. Comparison is the thief of joy. Focus on YOU.
Stop quitting. Stop changing things up every 2 weeks. Stick to something, anything at all, for longer than a couple of weeks. So many times we see amazing results from clients who have finally become CONSISTENT. It wasn’t what they were doing wouldn’t have worked - it’s that they never stuck to it and held themselves accountable.

Stop relying on feelings.
Start relying on systems.
Motivation is a process. It’s born out of action. Routine. Consistency.
Motivation is a byproduct of systems that you can implement to create the behaviour you want to see, or the reward you want to get.
It doesn’t fall from the sky, and you won’t find it when you go looking for it.
Start with small, daily habits. Before long you’ll create your own system and start reaping the rewards.

Gem didn’t need someone to give her another extreme diet - she needed something she could actually stick to.
Gem is a busy mother of 5 and was trying EVERYTHING to lose the weight she wanted.
When we met she was doing keto - she’d cut carbs, smashed too much cardio and was OVER IT.
So I helped her change her approach - we found a flexible diet she could stick to. A manageable calorie deficit that didn’t leave her strung out. We added carbs back in and weight training.
We found what she could do consistently and kept repeating it.
The pictures speak for themselves.
So if you’re stuck in the cycle of fad diets, tried everything and keep starting again on Monday, comment “START” and let’s chat 💪

Everyone wants the results, but nobody wants to do the work (and take the time) to get there.
Sophie Louise did.

Post race blues suck.
I’ve felt pretty deflated the last two weeks as my body has recovered, I’m back to work and life is more or less back to “normal”.
These post event blues can hang around for a bit, so it’s best to acknowledge them, fill up your cup with other enjoyable things and ride them out.
