Christies Beach Bowling Club

What a winter we have had here at Christies Beach Bowling Club!

New A Green, Improvements to the B green, New Uniforms, A club coach for the first time, A winter development program, Entering 4 Saturday teams, 2 Wednesday teams and 2 Thursday teams!
New blinds on the deck, lots of new members, lots of laughs and lots of hard work!

It all culminated with A greens official opening last Saturday. Thanks to Katrina Hildyard MP, Amanda Rishworth MP, Chris Picton MP, Onkaparinga Mayor Moira Were and Cllr Dan Patten for attending and helping make the day a great success.

None of this could have been achieved without our members hard work. There are too many members to thank, but you all played a part!!

We are looking forward to the upcoming season and hopefully we can have some success on the green as well as off!!

CBBC A great place to be........and getting better

Copied from a KCL page advertising their surface! Bruce came to our club yesterday and had nothing but praise ! KCL laid out green!

I played on this type of synthetic surface at Christies Beach Bowling Club today (22 September) and I have to say that it is close to, if not the best, surface that I have ever played on in my 64 years of bowling around the world.

Two teams from Christies ventured to Playford Bowling Club on Sunday to play in the Bowls SA open pairs competition. Although neither team managed to get through to the next round, all players had a great day on the blue.

There are some other state events coming up during the year it would be great to see more Christies teams taking part.
