Chirnside Park Football Club is thrilled to welcome Zak Knight to the Panthers for season 2027.

Zak joins us from Clayton with an outstanding football résumé, including Clayton Senior Best & Fairest awards, multiple SFNL Team of the Year selections, and captaining the club in 2026.

A quality midfielder/forward, Zak brings strong contested work, clean hands, elite kicking and genuine burst away from stoppage. He’s also dangerous forward of the ball and knows how to hit the scoreboard.

Beyond his football ability, Zak brings leadership, competitiveness and high standards — exactly the qualities we want to continue adding to our playing group.

We’re absolutely rapt to have Zak on board and can’t wait to see him pull on the yellow and black in 2027.

CPFNC is wrapt to announce another 3 resignings heading into the weekend.

Sam Cannon is back for another year, a general down back who can always be relied upon to repel the opposition, a club leader on and off the field were super excited to have him back onboard.

Mack is a Chirny person through and through, an ever reliable defender and player. Mack can play tall and small and is looking forward to challenging himself further up the ground in 2027.

Lachie “Spindles” Hoye came to the club this year and has proven to be a versatile big playing both Back and Forward and making life difficult for opposition players and we can’t wait to see what 2027 holds for him.

🚨 WE NEED YOUR HELP, PANTHERS! 🖤💛

Our clubrooms need to be painted before we hand them over to the cricket club — and we need as many hands as we can get!

Can’t paint? No worries! You can still help by cleaning walls & prepping surfaces.

Our amazing Jo from our Vets Women’s is a master painter and will be on-site TODAY & MONDAY to lead the painting crew! 🙌

If you can spare a few hours today, over the weekend or Monday, we would absolutely love your help.

Chirnside Park FNC are super excited to announce that Matt King, Sam King and Dylan Cawsey are all back for 2027!!

Jnr as he is affectionately known, Matt is our Captain, home grown and an amazing club person.

Always willing to help out with the Juniors, we can’t wait to have him lead us out again.

Dylan took on a leadership role and whilst injury hampered his season he is excited to be back again in 2027. A dangerous midfielder with explosive power out of the contest his presence is always felt when playing.

What’s better than one King - 2!!! Sam King is back and keen to help us take the next step in 2027. Dangerous around goal and up the ground, we’re excited to see him back again wearing the yellow and black. 🖤💛

We’re getting to the pointy end of the 2026 Football Best & Fairest Count, with another big block of votes now revealed.

Today we update the leaderboards for:

Senior Men — Rounds 13–16
Reserves — Rounds 13–16
U19.5s — Rounds 13–16

After 16 rounds, the races are taking shape — but there are still crucial votes to come before our winners are decided. 👀

And the wait is almost over…

🏆 All Football and Netball Best & Fairest winners will be announced tomorrow night at Presentation Night with the last 2 rounds of each competition being announced!

Good luck to everyone still in the running, and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of our players, coaches, volunteers and supporters as we bring the 2026 season to a close 💛🖤

NETBALL BEST & FAIREST COUNT | ROUNDS 9–12

The 2026 Netball Best & Fairest Count continues, and with 12 rounds now revealed, the race is well and truly heating up across all six teams.

We’ve now worked through the latest block of votes for:

Topaz D5
Amber D6
Yellow D8
Diamonds D9
Panthers D11
Black D13

Some leaders are starting to create a gap, while in other grades the race remains incredibly tight heading into the final stretch.

And now the suspense builds…

The remaining two rounds will be counted live this Saturday night at Presentation Night, where our 2026 Netball Best & Fairest winners will be officially crowned. 🏆

Keep an eye on the leaderboards — it’s all set for a big finish!

The 2026 Football Best & Fairest Count continues, and the race is starting to heat up as more votes are revealed.

Today’s update features:

Senior Men — Rounds 9–12
Reserves — Rounds 9–12
U19.5s — Rounds 9–12
Senior Women — Rounds 7–9

With the count moving into the back half of the season, some players are beginning to separate themselves, while in other grades it’s still anyone’s guess.

Every vote matters from here, and with more twists still to come, the pressure is building as we edge closer to crowning our 2026 Best & Fairest winners.
