🚨 National Emergency Alert Test on Monday 27 July 🚨

At 2pm on Monday 27 July, the Australian Government will test its new emergency warning system, AusAlert.

People with compatible mobile devices may receive a test alert that vibrates, plays a loud siren-like sound and displays a message on screen.

Importantly, the alert may be received even if your phone is on silent or Do Not Disturb.

Some people may find the alert unexpected or distressing, so we encourage you to let family members, neighbours and carers know about the test in advance.

Please note that this is only a test and not an actual emergency. The nationwide test will help ensure Australia's new emergency warning system is ready when it's needed most 🙏
