-plyo pushups with hamstring
Activation

Great push up variation to teach the body to yield and stay soft though the elbows on landing. Using momentum to help with returning to the starting position also requires a little less strength.

Added bonus for promoting wrist strength and maintaining arm bone density.

Pushing/anchoring the feet into the wall and “dragging” the toes up the wall on the return engages the hamstrings and when done correctly…… 😩

Add core control into it so that you don’t face plant and its well just 👌🏼

We love this-

-Half kneel to lateral lunge
with single arm bicep curl

Great ground tp stand move
Adding a weight and a lateral lunge into the mix gives
An element of anti rotation
Challenges balance
Challenges coordination
and leg strength

- Single arm floor press with protraction & rotation

A great move to promote shoulder stability/control

Elevation up onto the opposing
Elbow adding a strength element on that shoulder.

Try this one with a bottom up kettle bell as a progression adding another level of control/stability

- Squat to cable Y Raise -

This compound move
Works a lot of areas

For this session the main
Target area is the shoulder
Emphasising shoulder stabilisers
And working the medial delt

Of course the bonus squat
Works legs glutes
And core

You’re not gonna bounce into the gym everyday ready to smash out a session or hit a PB.

Especially this time of year when the weather’s colder, the body maybe just a bit (or a lot) more stiff and sore and the days shorter (yes it’s a thing when we don’t get as much daylight)

On those days, it’s ok to switch your heavy weights session or that high intensity cardio session for a session where you just move. Whether it’s mobility, a nice walk in nature or a modified weights/cardio session.

Tomorrow is another day and another opportunity to be just as awesome as you already are 💖

Oh and one week to go and the days will be getting longer again 🥰

We love this-

-reverse lunge with resistance band press-

Just looking at this makes me feel good..

- Opening up that front line
- working on hip extension
- a little toe flexion

This is great as a warm up before your workout or as part of a mobility/stretch session 👌🏼
