June is Scoliosis Awareness Month 💚
One of the things I love most about working with bodies is that no two are ever the same. We each have our own shape, structure, strengths, challenges, and our own unique curves.
Scoliosis is an S or C shape of the spine (a side bend) with rotation.
While every experience is different, many people benefit from movement that helps them feel stronger, more aligned, and more connected to their bodies.
This beautiful stretch is one of my client’s favourite ways to finish a class. It encourages length and alignment, and provides a wonderful opportunity to decompress afterwards.
This month is a reminder to celebrate our individuality, appreciate what our bodies do for us every day, and continue learning about conditions like scoliosis that make each person’s movement journey unique.

🌸 Menopause Awareness Month 🌸
This month, I’m dedicating time to learn more about menopause, the symptoms, and ways we can support our well-being. As someone navigating perimenopause, I’ve often found myself wondering, “”What on earth is going on in my body?”
It turns out, these symptoms are completely normal—and there are things we can do to feel and function better for work, family, and life.
I’m excited to start reading this new book, filled with the latest research and evidence-based recommendations on how Pilates can be a powerful tool in managing physical, mental, and emotional changes. From helping with muscle aches, changes in bone density, and pelvic health to improving mental clarity and mood balance - Pilates can enhance our quality of life and boost confidence as we navigate these changes.
Can’t wait to learn more and share this journey with you all!

For International Women’s Day I wanted to celebrate all the amazing women that work hard to invest in their bodies and themselves and for all the people that embrace equality.
I also wanted to share a story with you which was the highlight of my day.
One of my clients greeted me with a high-five ✋ and a massive “thank you!” This lovely lady just got the results of her latest bone density scan and it showed all results for her hips, back and wrists were in the normal desired range! For someone who works so hard to manage her Osteoporosis with Pilates classes and daily walks, this shows all her hard work is paying off, and we were both pumped! 😀
So we keep doing what we’re doing to keep her bones strong and body mobile.
What an inspiration! 🙌
