We are coming in to the new season for football in 2025 and it's good to remind ourselves of what is important.

Over the next few weeks I'll provide some tips to help us Nurture Our Children's Sporting Development.

For a positive, fun and nurturing experience of sport, we must all remain positive, regardless of the results, and stay realistic in our shared expectations to avoid putting pressure on the children. You can greatly assist a child’s development by providing a strong and positive role model and upholding integrity and respect.

Even though all junior sport has been postponed or called off at the moment, we are still working on the future vision of our club .

OUR VISION: we have a vision for the redevelopment of our end of the reserve which includes a two storey pavilion to house our diversifying and growing community, leading us to engage with Cameron Howe who according to News Corp has led several of the region's largest projects.

A new facility may include toilet facilities for all genders in addition to an office, bar, canteen and a function room for mixed community use. Complete with a balcony our 1,100 football, netball and cricket members would have an envious view.

On the agenda are also oval drainage and lighting improvements, with a larger car park considered essential to accommodating existing and new members.

Bonbeach YCW Junior Sports Club will commence discussions with all respective parties.
