ππ 2026 WINTER COMPETITION β FINALS TIME! ππ
A huge well done to every team who took part in our 2026 Winter Competition! π
Congratulations to all the teams who have fought their way through to the final rounds β now itβs time to finish strong! πͺ
Before we hit the court, here are a few important reminders for players, coaches and spectators.
π PLAYER & UNIFORM
β’ Correct Cessnock Leagues uniform must be worn, including black bike shorts under the dress
β’ Coloured tights are not permitted
β’ Hair must be tied back, nails short and jewellery removed
β’ Players not meeting these requirements cannot take the court without prior written approval from the MDNA Secretary
β±οΈ GAME DAY
β’ The first team listed on the draw collects the scoresheet
β’ Each team must provide a scorer and timekeeper
β’ Each team must nominate a First Aid Representative who is the only person permitted on court for an injury β please identify them to the umpires
β’ There is NO injury time
If the game is drawn:
2-minute break β 5-minute half β 1-minute break β 5-minute half.
If still drawn, play continues until one team leads by 2 goals.
π£ SUPPORTER REMINDERS
Help us make finals a great experience for everyone!
β’ Leave room on the sideline for umpires to move freely
β’ Please don't approach umpires, coaches or managers during games or quarter breaks
β’ Leave coaching and court-time decisions to the coaching team
β’ Players off court should remain with their coaches
β’ Most importantly β cheer loudly, positively and respectfully! π

Unfortunately, the Association is unable to supply umpires for the Twilight Competition, so every team will need to organise their own.

Unfortunately, due to the expected continued wet weather and ground conditions, todayβs Gala Day has been cancelled.
Weβre disappointed we canβt get out on court, but the safety of our players, families and volunteers comes first.
