Today Cecil Plains hosted 14 clubs and 89 players for their open Carnival, played under warm but perfect conditions, sponsored by City Golf Club. Thankyou City Golf Club for your continued support.
Thankyou to everyone who travelled to Cecil to play our carnival day and special thanks to all our members who played.
Special thanks also to the club members who helped in any way to make the day the success it was. I won’t mention names cause I’m bound to miss someone and that wouldn’t be fair to them but honestly without these people pitching in, the day wouldn’t be the success that it was!
Congratulations to all the trophy winners.
See you all next year! Cecil appreciates all the clubs who supported our carnival today.
A special mention to our club life member Des Thies who celebrated his 85th birthday today, hitting 85 off the stick winning B Grade Gross.
Well done Des, Happy Birthday!

Today at Cecil we played a Medley 4BBB Stab for our Saturday comp before our Ooen Carnival tomorrow.
30 Players teed off in perfect weather for golf.

This weekend at Cecil Plains….

Today Cecil played David Krugers sponsored day in conjunction with the monthly mug. Winner was Michelle Redding runner up Al Ridgeway.
Long drive for men was Harley Stanley and ladies Michelle Redding.
Taking home the monthly mug was Michelle Redding.
