Introducing Move2Grow - a brand new program at Hunger For Dance, and one that is completely different to anything we have offered before.

We have spent a long time thinking about the families who come through our doors & the little ones who light up in class but still reach for your hand. The kids who are ready to move and dance but not quite ready to do it without you. The children going through big changes at home becoming a sibling or starting somewhere new at daycare or kinder, who just want time with their person.

Move2Grow was built for them.

It is a warm, child-led movement and dance class for little ones aged 18 months to 5 years, carefully curated to build real and transferable skills in movement, in confidence, in connection, and in life. Designed to be experienced together, you and your child side by side, building something meaningful at your own pace.

No pressure. No rushing. Just music, movement, rhythm, dance and you.

Saturdays 9:30am, Caulfield North,
Starting 2nd May

To say I am proud of these girls would be an understatement.
Whilst I may be biased, I feel as though I have some of the best up and coming .s.t.e.p ers in Australia (the best group of young humans I know!!!) and 2 of them have represented my Name, my studio and some of the deepest values I hold over the last two days.

It can sometimes be quite confronting when you first experience the reality, especially of children and young adults with real world disabilities. It’s not generally something we learn or see, we tend to be shown a more lighter, polished, easily palatable version through the media and “representation”.
I was so honoured to be asked back again to this year, and was grateful for the assistance from Iris & Clem, who hit the ground running, and made sure all children were seen, included and catered to whilst I was on the mic directing the session and making sure I could connect with every child, and also not stand on any who decided right behind me was the most perfect place to participate 🤭

My hope that is I can guide the next generation of young up and coming teachers and humans to really see what inclusion means, and not as buzz word, but real inclusion, empathy and be able to just meet people where they are at. And this isn’t an all or nothing, I plan to meet each of my assistants in training where they are at, and find their strengths and shown them what that looks like when it translates to this particular field.

I will keep the rest as inside thoughts, I could go on forever, but I left MCEC exhausted but somehow filled with excitement of the possibilities, and where the next branches of my business(es) are headed ✨
