Some achievements deserve special recognition.
Congratulations to Grandmaster Keyvan Mirzai on being officially awarded the prestigious 8th Dan Black Belt in Hapkido by The Korea Ki Do Association.
This remarkable accomplishment also recognises him as a Hapkido Grandmaster, adding to his already distinguished status as a Hanmudo Grandmaster.
Grandmaster Keyvan has dedicated his life to learning, teaching, and preserving the true spirit of martial arts. His commitment to excellence, humility, and developing thousands of students has earned him the respect of martial artists both in Australia and internationally.
A special acknowledgement goes to his teacher, The Great Grandmaster Dr. He-Young Kimm, whose guidance and mentorship have played a significant role throughout this incredible journey.
Congratulations, Grandmaster Keyvan, on this outstanding milestone. Your Family Self Defence community and the wider martial arts family are incredibly proud of you. May this achievement inspire many generations to come.

What a day at the ISKA Tournament! 🥋🏆
We are incredibly proud of every competitor who stepped onto the mats and represented our team with courage, respect, and outstanding sportsmanship.
A special shoutout to our brave first-time competitors — stepping into a tournament environment takes real courage, and you all handled it with such a positive attitude and determination.
What stood out most wasn’t just the results, but the way our students conducted themselves throughout the day. Every competitor fought hard, supported one another, stayed respectful, and showed excellent sportsmanship both on and off the mats. We were especially proud to hear that even the referees took the time to commend our students to the instructors for their attitude and behaviour.
