John is rocking a bold new paint scheme to match his new nickname, but the origins of the title remain a closely guarded secret. We aren't spilling the beans, you’ll have to track John down and get the story straight from the King himself.

📣 The upcoming RCRA rule change proposal will be available for review at race control over the next two Friday nights. For our Castle Hill members attending the Whalan meet this Sunday morning, a copy will also be available for review there.

The committee needs your feedback to decide how the club should vote on this proposal, so please take a look and let us know your thoughts.

❓Have questions? Chat with Chris or Rob. Both attended a joint meeting with the RCRA and other EP clubs on Wednesday evening to discuss the details.

📣 Earlier today, The Hills Shire Council published its formal proposal for the upcoming Showground Main Arena upgrade. This aligns with previous communication provided to the club regarding major development works scheduled for the latter half of 2026 for the arena.

If you would like to review the proposal and contribute a submission, you can do so via the link provided in the Council's post. Please note that all submissions must be lodged by June 30.

Council intends to minimize disruptions to regular Showground hirers. However, they have advised that intermittent interruptions to our standard racing schedule remain a possibility throughout the construction period.

📣 When we pulled up to Castle Hill this afternoon, we honestly didn't think we'd be racing. The track was covered in puddles, from yesterday’s downpours and last night's heavy rain. But a massive shout-out to everyone who grabbed a broom or a blower! Thanks to an incredible team effort, and a welcome peek of sunshine, we managed to clear and dry the main part of the track.

Track setup and practice was delayed, but we had everything firing on all cylinders by 5:15 PM! 🏁

📣The official registration of SMCC with NSW Fair trading has been completed by the Whalan Sub committee.

The next step is the very first meeting of the new club to elect Office Bearers and Committee Members on Sunday 24th at Whalan Reserve. The meeting will commence at 9am & will be going ahead irrespective of the weather on the day. The track will be closed for practice during the meeting

➡️ First Item of business: We’re making sure all Castle Hill memberships stay active and roll over to our new club for 2026. A seamless transition of all Castle Hill members to the new club until the end of the year.
➡️ Second Item of business: Electing the leadership team to guide the club forward.️
