Burraneer Rugby Club

This year our Club supported a JV Opens Team of young men who wanted to play Rugby.

Made up of Burra, Sylvania and Avondale players, the SD Knights was formed and played some great Rugby together.

Massive shout out to Rick Benson for really going above & beyond to get this team off the ground and to Burra former player, Charlie Winkelmeier, for taking on the coaching role along with Marc Rees.

We hope all you boys go on to play Colts next year at Southern Districts Rugby Club .

ROLL UP - ROLL UP!

This Saturday, our marquee becomes the Little Rebels Kids Club. Swing on by between 9:30am and 3:00pm, drop in the little ones and they will be kept busy with lawn games, face painting, arts and crafts.

Plus, there will be lots of prizes and more importantly, GOOD TIMES.

🏉 SEVENS COACHES AND MANAGERS WANTED

Souths Juniors is now seeking expressions of interest from coaches, assistant coaches and managers to lead our teams at the 2026 NSW Sevens State Championships in Mudgee.

Opportunities are available across our boys’ and girls’ teams:

🔴 U11
🔵 U13
🔴 U15
🔵 U17

Age groups operate within two-year windows. For example, U13 teams are open to players aged 12 or 13 in 2026.

📍 NSW Sevens State Championships, Mudgee
📅 U11 and U13: 8–9 October
📅 U15 and U17: 9–11 October

KEY DATES

🏉 Trials: Sunday 23 August
🏉 Training: 30 August, 6, 13, 20 and 27 September
