And just like that, our first Masters carnival is done!

A massive thank you to the Townsville Pirates Masters Rugby League for having us and putting on such a great weekend. We had an absolute ball and can safely say we’ll be back next year! 🙌

To our Axemen crew thank you for getting behind this and making our first carnival one to remember. Old teammates, old rivals, plenty of laughs and a few sore bodies 😂

This is exactly what Masters footy is all about.

Our Masters journey officially starts today!

For some of these blokes, it’s been 30+ years since they last pulled on the Axemen colours, which makes today pretty special.

Who would’ve thought 30+ years later these old rivals would be lining up on the same side! 😂 With Tully Tigers a few players down, a couple of the Axemen jumped in to lend a hand, That’s Masters spirit! 🏉🪓❤️💚🤍

A huge thank you to Shaney for kick starting this, Chris for helping bring it all together, and most importantly our team for getting behind it and having a run!

Plenty of old faces, plenty of laughs and probably a few sore bodies tomorrow 😂

All money raised goes straight back into the club, helping us continue to enter and compete in future carnivals.
