Social Bowls with Pottsville Pirates @ Pottsville - Sun 27 Sept
--------------------------------------------------------------------------Over the weekend, a number of our members travelled to Pottsville to 'return the favour' and play at the Pottsville Beach Sports Club. Some opted to make a weekend out of it with others just travelling down for the day. 🏴‍☠️🦉

All had a fabulous time, enjoying both the bowls and the camaraderie. We thank our generous hosts for welcoming us with open arms - and it was wonderful to catch up with Derek & Vicki Finch again. It reminds us how much they are both missed... but on the upside, it gives us all a reason to travel. We are looking forward to next year already😁

What an exciting and busy day for our Purple team today!

Playing against Musgrave Hill at Club Musgrave, our team was unsuccessful in the morning so then faced Southport in the afternoon. After a hard-fought battle, they got up and have progressed to the Grand Final tomorrow!

So, if you don't have plans, pop on down to Club Tweed to watch Canungra take on Musgrave Hill in the Grand Final. The game starts at 9.30am. Good luck to our guys & gals... we will be cheering you on with pride. 🥳🦉

Following the final week of competition (barring finals) it was congratulations and commiserations to our Pennant teams.

Congratulations to the Purple team for coming in top of the ladder for Division 7 Purple! A great effort. Commiserations (though a hearty 'good try') to our Orange team. It is great to see that we have so many members willing to represent the club and give it a go! 🦉

So, now on to the Final.... come and support your team next Saturday 19 September at Club Musgrave. Starting at 9am, we will be up against Musgrave Hill for a spot in the Grand Final on Sunday. If we lose then it is a preliminary final at 1pm against either Southport or Helensvale. Note that if we make it through to the Grand Final it will be played on Sunday @ Club Tweed 9am.

Our Members Out n About
-----------------------------------------------------------------------Wendy Coleman was committed to playing in our District Ladies Fours competition at Helensvale today - so much so that when we couldn't submit our own team, she happily joined a composite team with Broadbeach & Helensvale! We wish Wendy all the best and hope that she enjoys her day.

Always great to see our members out there representing Canungra Bowls Club! 🦉
