History Unearthed!
Thanks to Andrea Sterns we will be seeing some older results that have not been published on the CAPO Website or OpenPowerlifting.
Here is the first of them - Northern Territory State Championships 2008.
This Comp was won by Chris Brown who is still highly competitive nearly 20 years later.
I look forward to publishing more of these and seeing familar names popping up again.

🚨A HEAD TO HEAD WITH NO ROOM FOR ERROR🚨
The stage is set for an incredible Multi-Ply clash at the 2026 CAPO Nationals on Friday 7th August.
Brendan Upton brings an 888kg total and proven multi-ply strength. Standing across from him is Mitch Johnson, whose 865kg total was achieved in single-ply. Now making the move to multi-ply, everyone knows there's more in the tank and his numbers are only going to climb.
With Brendan holding the edge in the squat, Mitch owning the bench, and both athletes matched at 305kg on the deadlift, this battle has all the ingredients for a classic.
Don't be surprised if it comes down to the very last deadlift, where championships are won, records are broken, and one lift changes everything.
CAPO Nationals 2026 | 6-9 August
Brendan Upton vs Mitch Johnson
Multi-ply and One epic showdown. 💥🏆

🔥 ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT – THOMAS HARDY 🔥
When the bar gets loaded heavy in the 100kg class, one name everyone will be watching is Queensland powerhouse
Competing at under 100kg bodyweight, Hardy has built a reputation as one of Australia's most dangerous wrapped lifters, combining an enormous squat with elite total-building ability.
📊 Recent Performance:
⚫ Squat – 345kg
⚫ Bench – 190kg
⚫ Deadlift – 290kg
⚫ Total – 825kg
At the 2026 CAPO Queensland State Championships, Hardy dominated the 100kg class and finished as one of the top coefficient performers of the meet.
But those numbers only tell part of the story.
Thomas has previously totalled a massive 900kg at under 100kg bodyweight, including a 377.5kg squat, 210kg bench and 312.5kg deadlift. Those numbers place him among the strongest pound-for-pound lifters in the country.
💥 Personal Bests
⚫ Squat – 380kg
⚫ Bench – 210kg
⚫ Deadlift – 312.5kg
⚫ Total – 900kg
Nationals are heading to Perth in 2026, and if Hardy arrives at his best, the battle for the 100kg title could become one of the biggest showdowns of the entire competition.
The question is simple:
Can anyone stop Thomas Hardy when he gets rolling?

🚨THE 82.5KG SHOWDOWN IS HERE🚨
has been one of Australia's most consistent performers and knows how to put together a total when it matters.
is bringing ridiculous numbers:
⚫ 340kg Squat
⚫ 212.5kg Bench
⚫ 335kg Deadlift
That's an eye-watering 887.5kg total at 82.5kg bodyweight.
On paper, Kennedy is the favourite.
But Nationals aren't won on paper.
They're won on the platform.
🏆 Who takes the CAPO National Title?
🔥 Joshua Genever
💪 Chris Kennedy
